The summer wind came blowin in
From across the sea
It lingered there touched your hair
And walked with me
All summer long
We sang a song
And then we strolled on golden sand
Two sweethearts
And the summer wind
Like painted kites, those days and nights
Went flying by
The world was new
Beneath the bright blue
Umbrella sky
Then softer than
A piper man
One day, it called to you
I lost you to
The summer wind
The autumn wind
And the winter wind
They have come and gone
But still those days
Those lonely days
Go on and on
And guess who sighs his lullabies
Through nights that never end?
My fickle friend,
The summer wind
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. School will be starting before we know it. Time just goes by so fast when you're having fun in the sun!!!!!!
I Wish You Love and The Summer Wind Blowing In Your Face,

Oh those shots are gorgeous!! You know how I adore the beach - thanks for sharing. It already seems too long since my toes were in the sand.
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer indeed!!
I have only been back from the beach for a few days now and I already can't wait to go back in September. Love the song and photos.

Wow! The city is huge in the background of that beautiful beach! Looks like fun was had by all!
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful set of photos. Goes perfectly with the song.
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, thanks for visiting The Hut, it led me to your wonderful blog! Seems we have a lot in common. We both obviously love the beach, but we were also raised on good Southern cooking and our families come from Georgia. My folks left in the 50s and moved us to California, but I still have lots of kin in Georgia and visit several times a year.
ReplyDeleteI was reading back on some of your older posts. My favorite was the one honoring the women in your life. My grandmothers were such an important part of my life and the memories are so wonderful. I also loved the one about what it was like when we were young. I loved playing in the streets and running all over town with my friends on Halloween without fear.
I've been to the east coast of Florida, but never Miami or Ft. Lauderdale and I dream of going to the keys.
I look forward to reading more in the future, but now I have to go get that recipe for your garlic buns that have been calling my name since I got here!
BTW, I love what you wrote in your bio about Miami being a melting pot and getting know about other cultures. I miss that very thing about California.
Gorgeous pictures! Can I go with you on your next trip to the beach? ;)
ReplyDeleteoh i am there with you
ReplyDeletehow wonderful

and the warm summer wind is on my face now
Your photos made my day! It looks like rain here, and I am so missing the beach. Thanks a bunch. Beginning August 5, I will be hosting Crock Pot Wednesdays at diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com. I hope you will join me and, hopefully, share in the giveaways:) Mister Linky is up and waiting for your entry.
ReplyDeleteIs this Miami beach!? It looks fantastic. One day I'll be living where palm trees abide too (I hope).
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures of the kids and the beach mom...We really need to get together and all go one beautiful day here in Miami...I need to get another tan.....love you
