The strawberries are ready and it's time to pick. U-pick farms are open and people have a lot of fun picking their own out in the fields. Of course you can find them in the markets too.
They are soooo red and juicy and sweet!!!!
I like to take off the leaves, slice them up and soak them in sugar water overnight in the frig. I sprinkle about a cup of sugar on top, add a cup of water and combine and then put them in the frig. You will have a wonderful strawberry syrup the next day.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
Then the next day you can eat them with your cereal, on top of ice cream, or just like they are. Or......you can get a nice sponge cake and some whipped cream.
Take a slice of the sponge cake, spoon some strawberries and syrup over it, and then top with whipped cream. Uuuuummmm it is sooooo Yummy!
We will be eating strawberries for a while down here in South Florida. Hope you can find them in your market. They are so good.....
I Wish You Love,

YumYumYum! I just picked up some Louisiana strawberries today and my only intention for them was for me to eat them in all their glory. Love strawberries! Those look gorgeous.
