Osessed with clouds, I am

I have such a great view when I am working at the stadium. I have become obsessed
with the beauty of the sky and the clouds. Look up everyone!

Falling in love with the clouds.....

"Both Sides Now"
By Joni Mitchell

Bows and flows of angel hair and ice cream castles in the air
and feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way.
But now they only block the sun, they rain and snow on everyone.
So many things I would have done but clouds got in my way.

I've looked at clouds from both sides now,
from up and down, and still somehow
it's cloud illusions I recall.
I really don't know clouds at all.

Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels, the dizzy dancing way you feel
When every fairy tale comes real; I've looked at love that way.
But now it's just another show. You leave 'em laughing when you go
and if you care, don't let them know, don't give yourself away.

I've looked at love from both sides now,
from give and take, and still somehow
it's love's illusions I recall.
I really don't know love at all.

Tears and fears and feeling proud to say "I love you" right out loud,
dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I've looked at life that way.
But now old friends are acting strange, they shake their heads, they say I've changed.
But Something's lost but something's gained in living every day.

I've looked at life from both sides now,
from win and lose, and still somehow
it's life's illusions I recall.
I really don't know life at all.

I've looked at life from both sides now,
from up and down, and still somehow
it's life's illusions I recall.
I really don't know life at all.

Attack of the Mosquitoes

This nature park had trails and is probably really nice when the weather is sunny and dry. But it was damp and it has not been raining everyday for the past two weeks.

Once we got deeper into the trees and bushes the mosquitoes started attacking us. These mosquitoes were the type to just stick on you and not fly away. They were huge!!! They were biting out legs, arms, andand were all over our faces.

We ran for our lives!!!!!!

Happy Trails:)

Fly, Fly Away!!!!!

This little baby Morning Dove, (that's what we call them around here), was walking and hopping around my front yard this afternoon. I panic right away when I see the little ones on the ground. I start telling them to hurry up and fly, fly away. I get scared that they can't fly because something is wrong with them, or that a one of the cats in the neighborhood might grab them up before they can spread their wings and fly up out of reach.

He let me get pretty close, so I really started to get nervous.

I followed him around for a while.

And then he finally started to flutter his winds and flew up on the fence.

Boy, I was so happy. Such a cute baby.

XOXOXO,
Mimi

Took a little walk around the yard this morning.

First stop is the Pink Hibiscus full of beautiful blooms. Can't stop taking pictures of it. It's just so pretty and pink.

A friend of mine makes chimes from pipe, wood, rocks, aluminum, and whatever else he can find. It has a low tone and sounds really nice on the front porch.

Our Little Italian Cypress Tree in front of the right column of the front porch.

Our Big Italian Cypress Tree in front of the left column of our front porch.
They are supposed to be the same size, but it's a long story. We bought them the same size???? We are hoping the little one will catch up on it's own.....not!!!!

Air plants in the Oak Tree in the front yard.

Our Mahogany Tree in the front yard.

My Mockingbird friend who hangs in the front yard. Her nest is in the Oak tree at the left of the picture. She makes all kinds of noises day and night, and is taking good care of her babies. Sometimes she swoops down and acts like she's going to attack me. But I understand she's watching our for her young'uns.

My tomato plant.

Coconut Tree and the beautiful sky in the backyard.

Yellow Flame Tree in the backyard is blooming. So pretty.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. It's a very lovely Sunday and I hope you are having a good day.

I Wish You Love and Lovely Things To Look At,
